Walker Val Barboza

After Val's 2005 Boston Breast Cancer Walk, she asked her quilt group Loose Threads and several other quilter friends  to start a new project. Once all the squares were done, Val Assembled and quilted them. This year's quilt has an old fashioned pattern called the "Album Square" and uses soft pastels for a more traditional look. The finished quilt measures 60" X 60."

A raffle is currently underway and all ticket sales will go to help Val meet her 2006 pledge goal for the Avon Breast Cancer Walk in San Francisco. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5 and can be purchased from Val. The raffle will be held March 15, 2006. Until then! the quilt will be displayed in the Cal Poly SLO Financial Aid Office where tickets are also available from the Advising Staff.
