In the Spring of 2004 the 12 members of Financial Aid Office staff decided to make quilt squares that would later be assembled and quilted by Val Barboza for a benefit drawing. The proceeds will help Val with her pledge goal for the 2005 The Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. As you can see, the quilt displays a diverse selection of squares that fit together just like the Financial Aid Team.

The Drawing was be held on October 18th 2004 in conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness Month. ... and the winner is... Darlene Capellotti-Bowman Thanks to everyone who supported this effort! Your ticket purchases has jump started my fund raising with $677 for the 2005 Avon Breast Cancer Walk in Boston! Darlene will leave the quilt on display in the Financial Aid Office until her retirement next year (2005)—thanks, Dar!
